Nowadays, artificial intelligence is creeping into every aspect of daily life. Technology is advancing very quickly and there are more and more complex and efficient robots and machines that can do many different jobs. A long time ago, all works were manual , but since the Industrial Revolution with the introduction of new machines the way we work began to change. Robots can be good because they make our work easier, but they also have disadvantages.


On the one hand, robots are very important in our lives today. They make our work easier and help us with many things. In addition, robots have made many things possible; for example, they help us to produce things in factories much faster than before and robots can also help us to communicate with people who are far away, some years ago this was unthinkable. Besides, until today the robots that exist are machines that can do a certain activity very well, but it is thought that in the future the robots will go much further, that means if someone was capable of creating a robot that could communicate with other people and have emotions of its own, how would that affect us? Would we still have normal friends or would we prefer to talk to a robot that if we want we can turn off? And what about having children or pets? People would start to adopt robots and take care of them or would we continue doing as we do today? We cannot know yet, so we must wait for that to happen.


On the other hand, although robots help us in many things it is also true that they have taken away many jobs. According to statistics, in 5 or 10 years many jobs that there are nowadays will not be in the long run and they are going to be replaced by machines. All those workers will have to change their jobs or they will be out of work. However, if you work moving machines or with robots you must be careful because robots can break down and can be dangerous. Last, but certainly not least, if we replace most jobs with robots we will start spending a lot of time alone and working alone can be bad for our health because we are social beings who need to communicate with other people.


To put it in a nutshell, robots help us and make our lives easier, but we sometimes have to be careful with them. In my opinion, robots are very good for us, but we shouldn’t make robots with emotions.
