Moses Eugene Malone was a professional basketball player who played in both the NBA and the ABA. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia on 23rd March, 1955 and died in Norfolk, Virginia on 13th September, 2015 of a heart attack while he was sleeping at the age of 60. Malone played 21 seasons as a professional. Before retiring from basketball, he was the last ABA participant to play in the NBA.

Malone began his professional career after finishing high school. He was selected in the third round of the 1974 ABA Draft by the Utah All-Stars. He was named an ABA All-Star rookie and played two seasons in the league until it merged with the NBA in 1976. Malone was a dedicated and physical player who drove the NBA in rebounds six times, including a five-season record at that time ( 1981-1985). He was nicknamed the "Chairman of the Boards" for his ability with rebounds. He ended his career as the all-time leader in offensive rebounds. Combining his ABA and NBA stats, Malone ranks the ninth all-time leader in points in his career (29,580) and third in total rebounds (17,834).

With regard to his death, Malone died at the age of 60. He was in a hotel with other friends. Next morning, Malone's close friend and Hall-of-Fame partner, Calvin Murphy, said Malone didn't appear for breakfast before a golf tournament in Norfolk, Virginia. He found that very strange because he would not miss it. After that, Malone's friend asked security to go to his room to check that he was okay and, unfortunately, they found him dead from a heart attack.

To put it in a nutshell, Moses Malone was an American basketball star who died 5 years ago. In addition, he will always be remembered for his offensive rebounding technique because he was the best. From my point of view, even though I didn't know him before looking up information about him, I'm sure he was amazing at baske tball.
